Where can I find Cheap tickets or deals in Las Vegas?

i will be visiting Las Vegas this week. Anyone know where I can find cheap or last minute deals on shows, tours etc? Please help!

On the strip in Las Vegas there are a few 1/2 price ticket booths. I know there is one in the Coca Cola Bottle right next to M & M World and there is also one in the Hawaiian Marketplace (I believe both are in between MGM Grand and Planet Hollywood). You can find deep discounts on a lot of shows if you see one you are interested in. Last time we went, I actually saw a couple of Cirque shows on the board like KA and Zumanity.

Another option is to look at this website now to go ahead and book show tickets that are running specials http://smartervegas.com/shows.aspx

KA at MGM Grand is currently up to half off. You could find $165 tickets for $82.
Zumanity at New York-New York is 25% off right now.
Penn and Teller is 25% off

Casino Comps before the 'Comp Card'?

October 30th, 2008

I have been using Las Vegas Comps for years. The last time was Nov of 2001. I asked the Pit Boss for it and bypassed the Comp Card. I wasn't even registared at his property and I hadn't so much as placed one single bet.

The Pit Boss gave me and my wife a $50.00 Dinner Comp. This was just a note type thing written on regular paper and we used the VIP Line. My question is more about the 'VIP Line'.

If the Pit Boss had only of given us a free cup of coffee on the Comp Slip, would we still of been able to use the 'VIP Line'?

What other ways are you entitled to use this line?

Thanks,
Mike h.

You are going to find that times are a changing in Vegas. Pit bosses don't hand out comps so fast anymore until they see you earn them. The use of the VIP line depending on the property has to be well earned these days also.

This is a corporate world now and it is all about the numbers. If they don't see the numbers from you, you are not going to see the freebies from them these days.

Im going to Las VEgas next weekend for a whole week for my 18th Bday and Im planning on getting my tongue pierced. Where is a good, but safe place to do it for a cheap but decent price? And do u have to provide your own tongue ring or is it included?

I went to a place called PRECIOUS SLUT on charleston blvd.. no kidding.. thats the owners name! anyway I paid $37. that included the bar and take home care kit which came in handy. They were really hygenic about the their work area and I made sure that they used clean needles, which btw they always use new ones and then toss them. they have a website where you can get directions if you decide to go. Happy early Birthday and enjoy your piercing!

I live in las vegas nv and I am wondering how long it takes to reach a end to workmans comp settlement?

I was twice with a severe head injury while on the job the first was nov 2006 the second was june 2007 I just recieved my first evaluation but not a rating. this was for the operation to my cervical spine.I am still waiting for one on my main head injury

I think we may need a little more info to answer your question here. You severely injured your head twice?? Have you been working since June 2007? Or are you currently on temporary disability? So you have had an evaluation for a surgery on your spine, however, you did not mention if you are currently in talks to work on a dispute, or if the company has mentioned that they are looking to settle. If you are on disability and getting your medical bills paid for then what is the problem?

Please provide more information so we can answer your question better.

Good luck to you!

What’s the big deal about casinos in Vegas and how they treat you there anyway?

I’ve been to the riverboat casinos here in the Indiana/Illinois for 6 years and I bet the casino employees and managers in Las Vegas don’t treat their guests as good as the casino managers and employees here at these riverboats. I think the officals in Vegas probably always jeer and dislike them more because, afterall, no one likes tourists, whereas at these riverboats, it’s the same people, they know them, they’re familair with them, there’s not as many tourists. Besides, did you see that scene in “21″ where they take card-counting Ben Campbell to a backroom, tie him to a chair, and beat him up? How can you say they treat you guys as good as they treat the ones here at the riverboats? and did you see the movie “Casino” with Deniro and Pecsi? Get the picture? And what about ‘What happens in Vegas”? Remember how the judge threatens to make them not get any of the money? You still think they treat you good over there? And one casino manager on TV for “Cheaters Exposed” who looks like Bill gates says he wants cheaters to go out in handcuffs in front of everyone and go away for a long time, they also showed tapes of physcially tackling cheaters out of nowhere on “Cheaters Exposed” and also on that show, Las Vegas police officer Robin Antochi says it’s great arresting a cheater and putting them away for a long time, I don’t share the same enthusiasm as that bi#ch Robin Antochi does, I would not want to ruin someone’s life. When I got evicted a casino at a riverboat here for giving them strong, negative feedback, they never laid a hand on me, they didn’t tackle me(I’d press charges if they did), they talked to me and escorted me out to my car, not the same treatment in Vegas as far as what I’ve seen on TV.
Bottom line, I think casino managers and employees treat their guests better here at these riverboats up here than they do down there in Las Vegas because people get sick of tourists and like familiar state residents who they know, better.

i concur
