I keep hearing that when you in vegas to sign up for their players club so that you can get free stuff such as gambaling and buffets or coupons. What does this mean or what?? When you sign up for it do they charge or something or are their any hidden fees? Please help, this the first time im going to vegas and i want to get the most out of my money.
Player's Club Cards are credit card sized magnetic strip cards that help casinos track your play. They are inserted directly into a slot/video poker machine and are handed to table game dealers or pit bosses who then use the card to enter your play into their system. Table games keep a separate track of your play apart from the slot machines.
If you get a card you can qualify for comps with play and get freebies sometimes without play. The best Player's Card is the Stratosphere/Arizona Charlies' which has a very generous $100 loss rebate. Wynn is very good if you are trying to qualify for their buffet with only a medium to small amount of rated play.
Some card programs vary by luck. Station casinos, which include Texas, Red Rock, Palace, Green Valley, Sunset, Santa Fe and soon Aliante, offer free play. This can be up to $100 and as little as $5.
The big strip casinos tend not to be very generous but this might be changing. When you fill out the information for your card, they take your address and mailings for room offers and discounts on air fare or gas have been increasing. Although you don't get comped as well for play, the rough economy might help you out as far as good room and travel offers in the future.
When you go into a casino, ask for their "Rewards" or Player's Club signup of any employee. It usually only takes 5 minutes and is very worthwhile.
