I need to book 8 to 10 rooms for a hockey tournament that will be taking place in Las Vegas February 19-22nd…

The tournament will be played at the Las Vegas Ice Center Twin Ponds (9295 W Flamingo Rd Las Vegas, NV 89147) so I will need the Hotel to me around there.

Anyone know of a good cheap hotel?

Unfortunately the cheapest and the closest have a big difference. The closest are hotel/motels without gaming. That means the rooms are higher priced. The lower prices will be at a casino that will offer the room way cheaper because they will make up the money in the casino.

The closest is Executive Suites on W, Flamingo
also there is a Hampton Inn on S. Grand Canyon Road.

The Cheapest would be the Gold Coast Casino on W. Flamingo.

My fiance and I are looking to get married in Las Vegas, we dont’ want to spend more than 5,000 on the actual wedding. Plane tickets and extra hotel nights are a gift.

What hotels can you recommend in terms of customer service?

The Venetian is beautiful and romantic with the water flowing through it.

What Las Vegas hotel has the best suites for parties? ?

My 18th birthday is coming up in a few months and im looking to have a hotel party. i want to get a suite somewhere not too extravagant or expensive.. but one of my concerns is the five-oh busting up my party.. so where would be the best spot?

First problem is your age. The majority of hotels on the strip will not rent to an 18 year old.You have to be 21 or older. The ones that will rent to you the rooms will not be very big. The other problem is they enforce a strict noise rule. If a complaint comes in from any guest .. security will show up … if it appears there is alcohol in there with under age kids … well .. lets just say .. a ticket would be the mildest thing. You will all probably be hauled to metro.

How much will it cost in gas for me to drive from Phoenix, Az to Las Vegas, Nv?

I have a 2007 Nissan Frontier.

I dont know what kind of car that is… suv, compact.

If its a compact, you can make it on a single tank of gas.

If its an SUV, plan on maybe a tank and a half. I don’t know. Phoenix to LV is the same distance as Los Angeles to LV. I have a minivan and a compact. The compact can make it one go. The van can make it in one go too because it holds more gas, but I usually arrive in LA near empty. Figure one tank to Vegas

What casinos in Las Vegas can I find coin operated slot machines? I love them and want to actually use coins?

What casinos in Las Vegas can I find coin operated slot machines? I love them and want to actually use coins and get coins back on any winning combinations.

When we go to Las Vegas, we visit downtown just so that we can enjoy using and receiving the change. There’s nothing like hearing the *clink clink!* when you cash out. Most of the hotels on Fremont street still dispense coins. I remember winning like $50 on the Piggy bank machine at 4 Queens (I believe) and taking a whole cup full of quarters to the cashier to change. I love that. There are no hotels left on the strip that dispense coins though.

Do University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Cal States recognize each other?

Is it basic to transfer from one to the other? And are their credits recognized within each other?

Unless there is a formal transfer agreement in place, no college is required to accept credit from any other college. Some will accept no transfer credit from anywhere (Princeton) while some will accept 100% of the degree requirements in transfer (Excelsior, Charter Oak State, Thomas Edison State). Most are in the middle there somewhere with 60 hours from community/technical college and 90 hours total transfer being the norm.

UNLV and CSU are both regionally accredited. For that reason, they should each have little difficulty transferring credit. They probably do not have the same degree requirements though. If you take music appreciation at UNLV as a core gen ed requirement course but CSU requires Art History in their core instead - that music appreciation course will transfer as an elective or not transfer at all.

That’s where you’ll need to be most careful in what you take before you try to transfer it. If you are certain you’re going to transfer from UNLV to CSU then it matters little what UNLV requires for their degree and only what CSU requires for theirs. Ideally you’ll want to take courses that are required by both.

You’ll also want to time your transfer so that it happens after 30 hours (admission requirements are easier after 30 hours if you have a good college GPA) and before 90 hours (after 90 hours you might as well finish where you are - you’re almost done).

The higher your GPA, the easier it is to transfer anywhere. The closer you can stay to 4.0 the more golden you will be.

Don’t expect a 100% transfer situation without a pre-existing agreement. If 100% acceptability is your objective then take all of your courses at CSU; they teach online these days.

Hi, I’m french, and I’ll go to Santa Monica next spring for holidays. I’d like to know if it’s possible to order a one day tour by pullman to go to Las Vegas from Santa Monica or LA ? thanks to give me names of operators.

In my opinion, two-day is enough. Here I can recommend a 2-day Las Vegas tour to you, it is just departing from Los Angeles. I think you will like it. This is the link http://www.tours4fun.com/2-days-las-vegas-tour.html Its provider is Tours4fun.com, a very good online tour provider. I always used it as my travel planner and fount no problem. Its tour price is very reasonable and the service is very perfect. You can visit its website to learn more.

hot do i take good pictures of the night lights of Las Vegas?

November 2nd, 2008

in going to Vegas in a couple of weeks from England and want to know how i can take some really good picture of the lights of Las Vegas

My camera is a Kodak EasyShare Z1285 12mp if this helps

what kind of setting should i put on the camera, when taking pics there.

I will be deverstated if i cant get some pictures, i went there when i was younger and none of my pictures came out , and wasn’t happy,

any pointers will be much appreciated
Thanks a lot

you need to set your camera on manual control to be able to use a slow shutter speed setting such as 1/8th second or maybe 1/15th. If the photo looks washed out at an 1/8th go to 1/15th. Then select a very small F-stop setting (lens opening) remember higher the number (f-stop) the smaller the opening it is reverse. This will allow you to get a wide depth of field which is what you want.

Some of these point and shoot digital camera models have complicated menus so it might be tricky to get the shot you want. You better consult your cameras manual Also, your shutter speed is very slow so you will need a tripod to set your camera on. If you don’t your photos will be badly blurred.

good luck
